About COSAC 2024
ISCAST’s biennial COSAC will be held on 29 November – 1 December 2024, as a three-part conference. The theme for 2024 is “Humanity 2.0? God, Technology, and the Future of Being Human.”
The conference will launch with a night session on Friday 29th November, with discussions on AI and Transhumanism. The following two days will be divided into Insights and Integrate. Insights will be similar to an academic conference, with multiple presentation types and parallel sessions running concurrently.
For the first time in COSAC history, we plan to host specific cross-displinary presentations.
We invite those who have a background relevant to the conference theme (in research/teaching/work experience, etc.) to submit a proposal to present at COSAC this year.
Paper Types
1. Traditional
20 mins + 10 mins Q&A.
Submit an abstract of 150 to 200 words, detailing the topic, aims, and approach.
2. Lightning Talk
5 mins + 10 mins Q&A.
Submit an abstract of 50 to 100 words. Lightning talks are an excellent way to try out new ideas with a cooperative audience.
3. Poster
Share your research or understanding of a topic by presenting alongside a poster. Visual summaries help attendees, particularly those from different disciplinary backgrounds, to easily understand complex data. Submit an abstract of 50-100 words and example of your visual communication/design.
4. Cross-Disciplinary
Two or more speakers discussing the same topic within one session (e.g., a theologian responding to a scientist). You can co-apply with someone you know or we can facilitate the pairing. Submit a “Traditional” abstract.
